Washington (ChattahBox) - Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman is doing well after he had to go through surgery following a horrific weekend car crash.
The surgery on the 71-year old star of The Dark Knight had to be done in order to reconnect nerves, as well as to repair damages to his left arm.
Last Sunday night, Freeman and a female passenger, 48-year old Demaris Meyer, were involved in a horrific car crash in Mississippi.
The jaws of life had to be used to get Morgan Freeman, as well as Meyer out of the vehicle, which flipped several times after going off the road.
The two were immediately airlifted to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis after the crash.
Reports state that the surgery was a complete success though, and that Freeman is in good spirits.
