the "Voicing" thing...

Celebrities Ruined the Cartoon Fantasy

May 30th, 2008

You know when I was growing up as a kid I treasured the escape Cartoons brought me. I never knew who “voiced” Bugs Bunny or Donald Duck or Mickey Mouse, But today these poor kids who virtually are bogged down with stress and schedules and fear-ful parents , threats of predators and using big words to express themselves as adults, I feel so sorry for them, they cannot even escape into a cartoon without the self-important actors being all over the TV promoting the character they are “voicing” this is one of THEE most annoying things in entertainment today! I mean what is the fantasy? I know that Jack Black is Kung Fu Panda and that that Creepy “birther of children” Angelina Jolie is another character, and Dustin Hoffmans wrinkly face was involved too, it is a shame and I am an adult and I miss the fantasy, what do the kids feel? Are the studios soooo worried the cartoon wont sell without all the stars human faces clouding our imaginations? I just wonder why the stars and the studios dont jst put costumes on and act it out? Why bother to create a fantasy character that you are just gonna blow its mystique with a celebrity voice, and now even face! and what happened to the talented voice actors who were fat, old , out of shape but were fiercly talented animation voice actors? guess the greedy milllionaire actors need all the jobs all the time! so unfair the imbalance of work. these actors are already rich and famous and not one character is voiced by a non-celebrity. this is a crime.
