I drive around alot and I often see a familiar site, an abandoned lone shoe. It makes me wonder. Where did this shoe come from? How did it get here? In Chesire CT on the side of the road next to a farm? A heel no less, not a boot as one would expect, but a high heel, in the middle of the country! I mean was someone on a date and jumped out of the car here in farm country and lost one shoe? Did the date say ” Get outta my car bitch” and kick her out wearing one shoe and threw the other one at her? Or did she have one leg? Or a leg in a cast? I mean WHERE DID THIS SHOE COME FROM? I have seen a loafer , a sneaker, the loafer I thought the person had thier foot hanging out the window and it just fell off, the sneaker, Was someone running so hard that the sho popped of mid-run and they were so overwhelmed with runners high that they kept going and left the shoe sitting there? Or maybe some kid was walking home with gym bag and fell out…..
I even saw a baby shoe in the parking lot of Walmart, that one was pretty easy to figure out, some busy super-mommy was shoving her kid into the baby seat knocked shoe off, tumbled under SUV, buckeled up and took off without realizing it was gone.
I saw one of those boots that are like rubber rain boots, burberry pattern, pretty shi-shi, here on my street in Greenwich. I was wondering what happened there, it stopped raining perhaps? lovers quarrel over the ugliness of the Burberry patterned rubber boot?
who knows…..just wondering
